Mark Capanni - I Believe in Miracles



Original version of this song, apparently recorded by the song's writer before the Jackson Sisters' amazing but overplayed version from 1973, though only released as a promo later in 1974. Well I never. Causing excitement over on the excellent Brownswood forum.

    I have been playing this non-stop since stumbling across it on your blog...you sir, are a complete star for posting this! It is really quite astonishing that this was only ever released on promo and disappeared down the memory hole as it is far far superior to the Jackson Sisters version (and I loved that track until as you pointed out, it became overplayed to death and lost a little of its shine).
    Have you heard if this is ever going to be re-released as a single (or more likely as part of a compilation)? Thats the only way I will ever own a copy! I cannot begin to imagine what a copy of the original would cost or indeed how many have survived from 74, probably only a very few given the fact this has not been picked up until recently.
